NetCloak runs on Mac OS computers, including the Apple Macintosh and Macintosh clones. NetCloak has the following additional requirements:
- System 7.5 or higher. (System 7.1 with Thread Manager)
- Open Transport or MacTCP.
- 2 MB free RAM.
- 2 MB free hard drive space.
Mac OS Web server software is also required (see your Mac OS Web server manual for additional server requirements).
Your NetCloak software disk includes:
- NetCloak Installer which will place the NetCloak 3.0 folder on your hard disk.
- NetCloak Key file which you can use for upgrading to new versions of NetCloak.
The NetCloak 3.0 folder downloaded from the Internet or created by the NetCloak Installer contains:
- READ ME! document with instructions on getting started.
- Upgrading document with information about upgrading from previous versions of NetCloak.
- "NetCloak.acgi" Application, the NetCloak CGI application.
- "NetCloak Plug-In" file, the NetCloak plug-in code resource.
- "NetCloak Introduction" Folder with information and demos of NetCloak, and installation instructions.
- "Sample Scripts" Folder with AppleScripts that demonstrate how to access NetCloak global variables.
- "Goodies" Folder with utilities and AppleScripts to make using NetCloak with other third-party software even easier.
To access your server when it is up and running you will need a Web browser such as Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
